About

Meta tags live inside your HTML <head> and tell search engines and social platforms how to display your page. This tool generates three essential blocks: standard SEO tags (title, description, canonical URL, robots), Open Graph tags used by Facebook, LinkedIn, and most social networks, and Twitter Card tags for X (formerly Twitter). You get a character counter for the title and description, a Google-style snippet preview so you can spot truncation before publishing, and an OG card preview that shows how your page looks when shared. Everything runs in your browser — no files leave your device, no account needed, and it works offline.

How to use

  1. Enter your page title (aim for 50–60 characters) and description (140–160 characters) in the Page Information panel.
  2. Add your canonical URL, site name, OG image URL, and Twitter/X handle to enrich Open Graph and Twitter Card tags.
  3. Check the Search & Social Preview to see how your page appears in Google results and when shared on social media.
  4. Click Copy to grab the complete <head> meta block, then paste it into your HTML file.

FAQ

Is this meta tag generator really free?
Yes, completely free. There is no signup, no subscription, and no usage limit. The tool runs entirely in your browser.
Does it work offline without an internet connection?
Yes. Once the page is loaded, all generation and preview happens locally in your browser. No network requests are made for the core functionality.
Is my page data private? Does anything get sent to a server?
Your data never leaves your browser. The tool has no backend and makes no uploads. Inputs are saved only in your browser's localStorage so you can resume later.
What is the difference between Open Graph tags and Twitter Card tags?
Open Graph (og:) tags are used by Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack, and most platforms to create rich link previews. Twitter Card tags (twitter:) are read by X (formerly Twitter) specifically. This tool generates both so your page looks great everywhere.
How long should my meta description be for SEO?
Google typically displays 140–160 characters for desktop results. The character counter in this tool highlights when you are in the ideal range. Keeping your description under 160 characters helps prevent truncation in search results.
