About
PDF to Image uses Mozilla's pdf.js library entirely in your browser — no server ever sees your files. Each PDF page is rendered onto an HTML Canvas and exported as a PNG (lossless) or JPG (smaller file size) at the scale you choose, from 1× up to 4×. The result is a set of individually downloadable image files, one per page, or a single "Download all" click to grab the whole batch.
How to use
- Drop your PDF onto the upload area, or click "Choose PDF" to browse for a file.
- Choose an image format — PNG for lossless quality or JPG for smaller file sizes.
- Adjust the Scale slider (1× to 4×) to control the output resolution.
- Click "Convert pages" and watch the progress bar as each page is rendered.
- Preview each page thumbnail, then download individual pages or click "Download all" to save them all at once.
FAQ
- Is it free?
- Yes, completely free. No subscription, no page limits, no watermarks.
- Do you upload my files to a server?
- No — 100% in-browser. The pdf.js library renders your PDF directly on your device. Nothing is ever sent over the network, which means your confidential documents stay private.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. Once the page is loaded (or installed as a PWA), the tool works without an internet connection.
- What resolution will the output images be?
- Resolution depends on the Scale setting. The default 2× scale doubles the PDF's native resolution and is suitable for most uses. Choose 3× or 4× for print-quality output.
- Can it convert password-protected PDFs?
- No. Password-protected PDFs cannot be read by pdf.js without the password. Remove the password first using your PDF reader, then convert.
